20220121 Tip of the Day – Fire Safety

Friday the 21st of January 2022 Tip of the Day Is. House Fire Safety

I today we are halfway through the first month of the year 2022, that’s right we are halfway through January 2022 and my mission right at the moment is to carry on with house fire safety.

House fire safety is the number one preventable disaster that strikes the most people in the United States and kills more people than all natural disasters combined.

Now I do know, based on research information we can find readily and freely available, that the number one disaster that affects more people is a house fire.

Earthquakes, hurricanes, wildfires, winter storms, and tornadoes band them all together, and they kill a lot fewer people than house fires.

Those of you who are paying attention know that over the holiday season, there was a large fire. I don’t know the exact numbers that killed maybe 16 people, but nine of them were children. That was a preventable fire.

To prepare your home, you should have a plan of action.

Here is the link to the don’t burn your house down training that will walk you through a process to go over with your family.

You can identify what needs to be done, develop and build an evacuation plan for your house, and implement it. You can do it all within a week. Engage everybody in the household with the subject and the project because they will all be affected by it.

You will be comfortable and confident knowing that you’ve done the best thing you can to prevent a house fire and protect your loved ones in their sleep from a fire.

Till next time
