The Word of the Week for August 15, 2022 is Words.
Words are more powerful than perhaps anyone suspects, and once deeply engraved in a child’s mind, they are not easily eradicated.

This is an extract from the book The Promise Of A New Day. This is the reading for August 12th, I decided to share it with you today.
” Some of our greatest adult sufferings are owed to the many innocent abuses collected upon us as children. Harsh words, the meaning punishments, too many silent treatments, taught us who we were. When we accept criticism as accurate and deserved, it molds our character, and eventually we live up to those assessments.
The good news is that we are in control of our own thoughts and attitudes, and in this respect, we are all powerful. The decision is ours to cast aside another’s criticism, replacing it with positive self-talk. However, to successfully undo the harm others words have caused takes daily dedication to our own positive reinforcement those who are competent and assured have internalized a positive dialogue with themselves.”
Today is a new beginning, and I can make a fresh start by believing that I am a worthwhile person, and my contribution is necessary.”
