Look on The Bright Side

Every cloud has a silver lining.

Because of the current COVID-19 situation, I would like to welcome all the New Preppers in the World.

Disaster planning is usually geared to regional natural events. Hurricanes, Earthquakes, Wildfires, Floods, etc.

COVID-19 is truly a Global event.

How are you, only now, only here?

Do you like that person?

The world may seem to have come to a stop, but it has not.

Here in the Continental United States Hurricane season will be starting in June; Wildfire season can start at any time.

Earthquakes, Tornadoes, and Flooding are waiting in the wings.

Are we alone in this?

No

These events are not unique to the Continental United States. They are also global events. And they will happen whether we like it or not.

Who will you be, then and there?

Your need to shop for a few weeks’ worth of food and supplies in anticipation of the Social Distancing imposed by most world governments has placed you in a unique position.

Use it to your advantage.

Be the Hero.

Now is the time to continue with the preparedness process for the emergencies and disasters that are coming. They will not ask for COVID-19’s permission to wreak havoc with your world.

Contact your local American Red Cross chapter, County Office of Emergency Management, or FEMA for general do-it-yourself disaster planning information. There is a vast amount of information that can point you in the right direction.

FEMA’s Are You Ready is a free resource that can keep your momentum going.

Those of you who have seen the light have two options.

You can do it alone and hope for the best. And I will celebrate with you when you finally accomplish your plan.
