Day Five of the 12 Days of Christmas Change

Day Five of the 12 Days of Christmas

Today were going to discuss one very valuable concept that a true leader understands deeply. It is called change.

Leaders Are Change Masters

This is really hard for some people because changes – can be painful.

The risk of attempting to change something might not work out the way you planned it.

That’s okay because if you’re a good leader when making a change and discovers it is not working. You reassess, adjust fire and move on.

Why is changing important? Change is very valuable because without change you cannot grow. Without change you cannot build something. Without change you cannot produce anything of value if you are not willing to change.

Changes very valuable because about change cannot grow cannot build you to produce

Many people around the world have different concepts of change, some embrace change simply for the sake of change and others want to have nothing to do with it.

If we are to re-examine the five levels of leadership, to elevate from position to permission, production, and people development we will need to change.

When I first received my Sgt. E5 stripes in the Army I was in a position of leadership even though I knew nothing about it. Over time I learned to communicate with people in my unit and they gave me permission to lead them. With that permission we were able to produce recognizable outcomes that placed my teams’ squads and sections in positions of greater responsibility and authority.

I am quite sure some of you know leaders who are super micromanagers. And it is their way or the highway. Usually what can happen is the manager will accomplish the mission, and unfortunately if they do not accomplish the mission, they will blame one of their subordinates because it’s not their fault. This is a byproduct of wanting to be in control based on fear.

What do you want to change? Did deep down into yourself and ask that question over and over.

What do you need to do to accomplish your vision? Who do you need to work with to make it happen? And how do you need to change to accomplish it?

Keep in mind that change is an evolutionary process. You must expect change at all times, embrace the change, and cause the change to happen.

“Everybody wants to go to Heaven, but no one wants to die to get there!”

– B. B. King

We know that in great reward, there is great risk.

Step Up and be the Leader your children deserve.

Step Into your children’s lives, learn from them and teach them.

Step Out into the world with them to do beautiful things.

Till next time
