Tip of the Day – Protein

Lately, I have been craving more protein in my diet for some reason.

I eat more meat, nuts, and dairy products. And I still crave more protein.

There are many reasons to have a high-protein diet. It helps with muscle mass, helps your brain think better, and helps you sleep better while reducing cravings for late-night snacks and high-carb foods.

While looking at my disaster food stores have identified several protein items which are consistent. First, there are those chicken and beef soups, canned chicken, tuna, and dried meats.

And that can get kind of boring, so I decided to introduce a different form of protein into my food stores. These are simple protein shakes in one serving containers.

Keep in mind that if you add these to your food stores, the shelf-life is approximately one year. I recommend repeatedly rotating your food from your disaster stockpile through your kitchen so you can keep your disaster stockpile as fresh as possible.
